I have my knox-image on a server.

After upgrading to leopard, the Knox volumes is read only.
I can make a new image and copy a lot of data to the image, but when I remount the image it’s read only.
I tried to make images on several servers and client Macs with filesharing, but it’s the same problem.
If I copy the image back to my Mac localy the problem is gone, so it’s only when the images is mounted via network.
Is there anyone who have a solution?

I too am having the same issue.

Clean leopard install/reinstall 1.5.3. When I open a Knox Vault residing on a network, it is not writable.

Very frustrating.

We have now analyzed this problem, and an update to Knox that fixes this should be out in the near future.

The problem is that Knox opens a handle for all vault files it knows about in order to observe them for changes. In Leopard, this makes the system unable open the same vault file over a network for reading and writing. The system then defaults to opening the vault as read-only.

The fix is not trivial, though, which is why it will take us some time to get it out. Sorry about that.
