Sparsebundles

Is it possible to use a sparsebundle instead of a sparseimage, as I really want to backup using Time Machine, but don’t want to waste space. Is there perhaps an unsupported way, possibly replacing a sparseimage with a sparsebunble? Or adding an existing sparsebundle to Knox. |

I’ve been hoping to see an update come through shortly that supports sparsebundles as well. Any word on this, MK&C? It definitely makes backups easier because the images are already segmented. :-) Even if your initial support was only for preexisting or user-made sparsebundles, that would be great. |

Hello Olly & Billifer, Adding existing sparsebundles into Knox is supported in the next minor release. ETA sometime in the future. :) |

Thanks, Kalle. I’m looking forward to it! :) |

Hi guys, any update on this? Really looking forward to using sparsebundles instead! Cheers Johan |

This is now implemented in our source. Unfortunately no ETA for the release, sorry. :) |

Lack of sparsebundle support is the only thing keeping me from buying Knox. I use Time Machine with a Time Capsule, and it just doesn’t make sense to use Knox when it forces the older, less friendly sparseimage on users. Knox is now $35, and Leopard has been out for almost 9 months… |
