Topic: Knox / Backing up USB keys with full disk encryption? Whenever I try to do this – I get an error that the disk is in use, and if I unmount the disk – it’s not available! So how do I backup my USB key automatically? Cheers Johan |

Topic: Knox / Vault on remote server - alias not working Cool, I didn’t know that I can drop a vault and it will remember it. There is a significant different though how Knox handles remote vaults compared to having an alias. With an alias and I click on it, it will notice that the vault (or any file aliased to really) is on a remote server and try to mount that volume. Where’s Knox will only show vaults it can see, which I can see why you have chosen to implement. It would be convenient, if the not currently seen vaults where greyed out instead of disappeared and when clicked on (since I know if I’m on a network where a certain vault is present) it will try to mount the corresponding drive by simply trying to open the vault file. |

Topic: Knox / Vault on remote server - alias not working First, I’ve been using Knox for a month or so now and when I downloaded it I thought exactly what was posted in the FAQ – why would I pay for some software that let me do the same in disk utility for free? And I totally agree – it’s all in the interface so within a week or so I payed for my license. Great product. Now – a couple of things – a cheer of encouragement to fix the remote server read-only problem. And then I noticed that when I created an alias to a vault on a remote server and placed that alias in my Vault folder, it wouldn’t mount properly. I created a symlink and that seemed to work, and I just want to check if this is indeed the way forward, or if it would may be possible to add individual remote vaults to the drop down interface without having to symlink, or place an alias in the folder? Keep up the good work Cheers Johan |
