Topic: Need some clarification... Yes, if it it’s absent from both the menu bar and Dock, Knox is not running. You can check for running applications with /Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor.app, where you put in application name in the “Filter” box. Knox stores a vault password in the “login” keychain if you choose to do so. When you log in to your user account, the keychain is unlocked and Knox can retrieve these vault passwords. For added security, you can choose to set a different password for the “login” keychain than what your account password is. To do this, open /Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access.app, right-click the “login” keychain and select Change Password for Keychain “login”. You will be asked for the password every time you log in to your account. You can also set the timeout values, so that if no application has accessed a keychain for a set period of time, it is automatically locked. |
